Meet Cayden — The Artist Beyond the Portal 🌈🎨 Cayden is an 11-year-old autistic artist from South Africa who has been painting since he was just two years old. Long before NFTs, blockchain, tokens or Naughty Robots, there was simply a little boy with a paintbrush. Art became one of the ways Cayden explored the world around him. Over the years, that love of creating grew into something none of us could ever have imagined. Thousands upon thousands of paintings followed — eventually more than 20,000 pieces of art — filled with colour, strange characters and the wonderfully unpredictable imagination that makes Cayden's work his own. The journey hasn't always been easy. Growing up autistic comes with challenges, and as a family we've had our share of difficult moments, uncertainty, experiments that didn't work and doors that didn't open. But Cayden kept painting. And slowly, other people began paying attention. His artwork travelled around the world. Collectors became friends. His work reached spaces we once couldn't have imagined, including Christie's Digital Art. His paintings became characters, collaborations, digital collectibles and eventually entire worlds. Naughty Robots appeared. Then came Rainbow Skulls, Shadow People, Bomb People, Burger Land, Space Riders and countless other strange inhabitants of what eventually became known as: The Land Beyond the Portal. 🌈🚪 Today, Team Cayden is about helping that imagination grow. Cayden creates. Dad builds. And an incredible community around the world helps make the journey possible. We experiment with physical art, digital collectibles, technology, games, storytelling and new ways for collectors to become part of the worlds Cayden creates. But underneath all of it, the mission remains remarkably simple: Give Cayden every opportunity possible to learn, create, explore and build a future around the things he loves.
